Woe is the recruiter who is behind the times with on-campus recruiting. Sorry Huey Lewis, but with recruiting co-eds today, it is most definitely NOT hip to be square.
No more are resume's only on bond paper and call backs left on cassette answering machines - your recruiting arsenal now consists of digital documents, email, text messaging, etc. If it's a new technology, college kids use it, and they expect you to use it. And the cutting edge of technology for on-line HR is now .jobs.
Sending a tip to a college recruit about your job opportunities? Brevity is key in messaging...acronyms and abbreviations have permeated the channel. Don't expect a great response when you IM someone to go to
