Why stop at just one .jobs domain registration?
In Part 1, we learned that you can add to "yourcompanyname" to get .jobs domains suited to your needs. In Part 2 we'll look at what "yourcompanyname" means, and you'll see that it means both your company's name and any name by which you are commonly known.
So just what do we mean by "commonly known?" It all goes back to branding your company -.jobs provides you with a consistant vehical for delivering that message. Is your company commonly known by an abbreviation, a shortened version of your name, or by a nickname? If so, then you can get the same abbreviation, shortened version or nickname in .jobs.
Simple. No tricks. Just a consistant branding message.
Say for example you're an accounting firm named PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited. You of course can get
PricewaterhouseCoopersInternationalLimited.jobs, and
PricewaterhouseCoopersLtd.jobs, and
PricewaterhouseCoopers.jobs.
But what you're really, really known by is PwC. Can you get
PwC.jobs?
Yes! Why? Because that's how you're commonly known. That's where your job candidates will expect you to be, and where you'll want to be.
Ok, here's another example. Say you are a publisher with a name of Simon & Schuster, Inc., but your online identity is at SimonSays.com. Can you get SimonSays.jobs, even though your legal name isn't "Simon Says?" Yes! Why? Same reason as with PwC...because that's how you've branded yourself, and that's how you're commonly known.
Alright! You are now an expert on how to get lots of .jobs domain names...go out an impress your boss by branding your company's HR identity with those .jobs domains!
