eNom, Inc., Announces That It Will Be the Largest Domain Registrar to Offer the New .Jobs Top Level Domain
BELLEVUE, Wash., PRNewswire
eNom, Inc. (http://www.enom.com/),
along with Employ Media (Cleveland, OH), announced
today that it is offering customers .jobs domain registrations.
eNom, Inc., one of the top registrars in the world
with over 6.4 million domains hosted, will be the largest
domain registrar to offer the .jobs domain.
The .jobs Top Level Domain (TLD) was created through
an alliance between Employ Media, the Society for Human
Resource Management (SHRM), and Verisign (ICANN). The
.jobs TLD will be a sponsored top level domain. This
means that it will be specific for people who
deal in
the human side of organizations, such as recruitment.
An organization would therefore need to establish that
it is a legitimate
employer
to receive a .jobs domain.
With the .jobs TLD the public can type in the company
name followed by the .jobs extension and a special
company recruiting site can come up. For example, a
company could type in www.shrm.jobs and see jobs posted
for the Society of Human
Resource Management. Steve Brown, Director of Product
Management at eNom, said recently, "We
at eNom are excited to be the largest registrar to
offer the .jobs TLD. Our large enterprise clients will
find
this offering to be an excellent addition to our already
strong corporate domain management system."
