JACKSONVILLE, FL -- When the registration for dot Jobs doman names began, Jacksonville-based MPS group was quick to secure a few.

"As soon as we were able to reserve ten URLs, we did," says Tyra Tutor.

Tutor, a Senior Vice President with the Staffing company, says having the companies name before the dot Jobs URL helps everyone.

"We're always looking for ways to get potential customers to our site," says Tutor.

Having the dot jobs as an internet address cuts the chase for anyone looking for a job in a certain speciality.

Employ Media of Cleveland is the licensee of dot jobs. Tom Embrescia is chairman of the company and says the response has been phenomenal.

"We think it is huge," says Embrescia.

Embrescia says dot jobs saves employers and potential employees time and in some cases money.

"It reduces (your search on the internet) from four clicks to one," says Embrescia.

The dot jobs names will be activated in September and companies like the MPS Group can't wait.
